Heikin Action was created as a personal brand for the formation in Forex (Foreign Exchange).
Oriental inspiration
Heikin comes from the name that they give to Japanese candles, a visual element to identify the changes in values.
As for the color, the red is a color that commonly is associated with energy, action, risk taking. It is also a color with a large presence in Japanese culture, being associated with the son (on the flag), and that we find often in their temples, art, columns, or their traditional lanterns (which were key in creating the initial proposals for the logo).
