Definition
Aura Sabogal, Colombian by birth and settled in Barcelona for more than 20 years, has had a passion for communication since she can remember.
This passion, combined with the restlessness and adaptability typical of latina women, has led her to participate in widely diverse projects and in any way imaginable: radio programs, private and large scale events, concerts, cultural events, business marketing, and digital broadcasting of cultural programs are just some of the areas in which she has learned to move like a fish in water, keeping in mind that all of them have a common center: the message.
This project seeks to define the visual identity of her personal brand, trying to transmit this “aura” that defines her and her way of doing things.
Shapes
The typography used (and modified) for the logo of Aura Sabogal seeks to transmit the seriousness and elegance which the communication deserves, and at the same time allow the curves to offer a more intimate closeness and confidence without forgetting, on occasion, to be disruptive and move away from the typical.
Color, vitality, and movement
Being lucky enough to know Aura Sabogal as a good friend was essential in defining her chromatic palette. I toyed around with her name and how it reminded me of the auroras boreales. Not only her name but also her way of working fit in this description: fluid, attention grabbing, someone who appears with her new job, presents it to the world, and disappears again with her next project.
Adaptation for each project
Despite having a clear visual identity, in her line of work it is indispensable to know how to adapt to the present needs, challenges, clients, and supports that each project requires, drawing nearer to the concept of light defined in the aurora boreal.
Present in each chapter
Just as Aura Sabogal, the person, is present from beginning to end, it was important that Aura Sabogal, the brand, also was. From the presentation to the client, the preparation and development, the creation and if needed, the follow up after the project.
